Commercial Invoice

The UNVTD commercial invoice is the invoice for cross-border trade. Alongside the commercial content it carries the information that customs and trade finance need from it: references to the bill of lading and letter of credit, the port of entry, origin and destination, the trade terms, and freight and insurance costs. It complements domestic e-invoicing formats such as EN 16931 rather than replacing them.
